Melody was rescued from a puppy mill along with 5 other female dogs who were severely exploited, bred every cycle and discarded when they could not produce as many pups as they could in their initial cycles. Trapped in dilapidated cages in a muddy field, none of the dogs had names they recognized and were terrified of everything in their environment.

Melody was sadly also pregnant when she was rescued and gave birth to a single deformed pup that survived only a few days. Melody was at the hospital receiving treatment for several months, where vets and our team worked on both her physical and emotional health, slowly lifting her up to a state where we were able to sterilize, vaccinate and rehome her to a family that loves her to bits every single day.
